Welcome to NetMap Pro. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles information when you use our services. Our primary goal is to provide a powerful, native network auditing tool while maintaining the absolute highest standard of user privacy.

1. Data Collection and Usage

NetMap Pro is designed to be a completely offline-first application.

• No Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
• Local Storage: Your network scan history, targets, and results are stored locally on your device in an internal Room database. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by our developers or any third parties.
• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or sign in to use NetMap Pro.

2. App Permissions

To function as a network security tool, NetMap Pro requires specific Android permissions. We only request what is strictly necessary for the app's core features:

• INTERNET: Required to perform network scans on external targets and resolve hostnames.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE & ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Used to detect your current connection type and identify local network interfaces for scanning.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Allows the Nmap engine to continue a long-running scan if you minimize the app.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13+ to display the status of an ongoing background scan.

3. Third-Party Services

The app interacts with third-party services only in the following limited capacity:

• Public IP Fetching: If you use the "Fetch Public IP" feature, the app makes a single request to https://api.ipify.org. This service may see your IP address to return it to the app, but no data is stored by NetMap Pro during this process.
• No Analytics/Ads: We do not use any tracking, analytics (like Firebase Analytics), or advertising SDKs.

4. Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security. We recommend using standard Android security features (like screen lock and encryption) to protect your scan history.

5. Children's Privacy

NetMap Pro is a technical tool intended for security professionals and students. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the version within the app's documentation.
